This study is concerned with showing intertextuality in the female Arabic proverbs, and it studies the contents of the proverbs and the connotations to reveal the image of women in the Arabic proverbs, through the formation of contemporary prose discourse, in which it is repeated to reveal the past, or read it in the light of the present to express the privacy of the creator in his expression of reality. This article differs from the book“Representation and the Lecture” by Abd al-Malik bin Muhammad bin Ismail Abu Mansour al-Thaalbi (d. 429 AD), in that it collected all proverbs in a general way, while the researcher in this article extracted and focused - only - on what concernsArab women. The research methodology used for this study was the descriptive and analytical approach, as it presents an image of women through intertextuality in the Arabic and Swahili proverbs related to women, and the researcher used the psychological to shed light on the content of the proverbs and their significance to reveal the image of women that reflects her status in society. The results of the researchindicated that the Arabic proverbs were influenced by religious and literary texts.en_US
